Céad Míle Fáilte

We would like to welcome you to the 2027 EBPS Biennial Meeting at University College Cork, Ireland, August 11-14th 2027.

The Biennial Meeting is at the heart of EBPS. It brings together researchers working across the world and career stages to exchange ideas, establish new collaborations and engage with each other’s science.

We are developing an exciting programme and are delighted to announce our 4 outstanding plenary speakers (Vidita Vaidya, Andrew Holmes, Rita Goldstein and Hedy Hober).

The meeting programme will also include a dedicated IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility) session, travel awardee data blitz, symposia, poster presentations, trainees events including our mentor-mentee events, and of course some good Irish social events to continue networking. There really is something for everyone and we look forward to welcoming you to beautiful Cork.

Symposia submissions are now open and will close Oct 31st 2026. Please see more information below and link to submission form.

Abstract submission will open Spring 2027 and we encourage students and post-docs to apply for an EBPS Travel Award.

Lots more details to come in the coming months!

We are looking forward to seeing you at the meeting.

Prof. Gavan McNally (President), Dr. Rachel Moloney (Chair of the Local Organising Committee)

Symposia Submission

We are looking forward to hosting you at the EBPS Biennial Meeting, which will be held in University College Cork, Ireland, from 11-14 August, 2027. We plan to develop an exciting scientific programme on the most recent advances in behavioural pharmacology and related disciplines. The conference symposia will cover diverse topics in pharmacology, psychology, psychiatry, and neuroscience on cellular, genetic, pharmacological, and circuit mechanisms of behaviour in both animal models and human subjects. We encourage sessions on timely and innovative topics.

Priority will be given to proposals that contribute to the mission of EBPS to enhance representation of scientists from minority, marginalised and underrepresented backgrounds. This includes, but is not limited to, consideration of ethnicity, geographic location, gender, and career status. We will also give priority to proposals covering novel topics that were not represented in previous EBPS meetings. If you have suggestions to stimulate scientific discussions or those pertaining to other aspects of our society (e.g., Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA)) we welcome you to propose other formats as well – please email EBPS2027@ucc.ie

Deadline for submission is October 31, 2026 at 5pm Irish Time (GMT). If you don’t receive a confirmation of receipt upon submission, or have any questions, please contact conferenceucc@ucc.ie

Symposium Guidelines

Symposia are 90 min long and are composed of 4 speakers, one of which can be the organiser, or Chair. The proposed symposia should include an informative outline of the symposium (maximum of 250 words) that introduce the topic and explain why it is interesting and timely for the EBPS. The proposal should include a short description of the topics of the different speakers, and how the presentations are linked to each other.
