A HUGE thank you to the organizers: Leah Mayo, Matt Hill, Stephanie Borgland and Harriet de Wit for an incredibly successful EBPS2024 workshop in Banff. Not only was the meeting held in the most beautiful place on earth, it also featured some of the best science. From a comprehensive keynote on psychedelics from Dr. David Nutt, a whistle-stop tour of psychedelic-induced plasticity from Dr Alex Kwan, an exploration of methods to treat cannabis use disorder from Dr. Meg Haney and some really cool findings from GLP1 studies for alcohol use disorder with Dr. Lorenzo Leggio we were also treated to the specialist symposia on Psilocybin, Ketamine, Cannabinoids and Orexin.
Outside of this some of the most spoken-about events were our perspective panels featuring scientists and policy drivers exploring current issues including “Psychedelics: Charting a path forward” and “Unpacking Myths, Fears, and Facts about Drug Policy: Lessons from North America“. These sessions created great open discussion about the field and how it moves forward in light of setbacks, policy and regulations.
A full run down of the talks can be found over at our Twitter where I think I managed to tweet about all the sessions (@EurBehavPharm)
I have included some media below to show how great this all was.
See you next year in sunny Spain.
